About Us
The Department of Prosthodontic & Dental Material Sciences started as a fledging section of the Department of Dentistry in 1952. It made a steady progress to become forerunner in Prosthodontic teaching and training in the country. It became an independent department in 1980 with the establishment of the Faculty of Dental Sciences. At the moment the Department is running BDS (Under Graduate) & MDS (Post Graduate) Courses.
Activities
The department is also working on advancement in Prosthodontic treatment modalities for geriatric patients in collaboration with department of Geriatric Mental Health. Along with that, the osteoporotic patients are offered modified prosthodontic treatment depending on the Bone Mineral Density. The department with young and enthusiastic teaching faculty is continuously upgrading the clinical skills, research & academics in the field of dentistry. The following teams are being constituted for Undergraduate and Postgraduate Lectures, Seminars and Laboratories.-
